I noticed that Roger chose a stemmed glass photo for his beer vs ketchup point below. This had me thinking because I use the glass above to drink beer at home and it seems I am in good beer drinking company as the
RateBeer web site suggests this Tulip shaped glass is best for appreciating your beer. Having said that I am not sure I am ready for such a glass of a Wednesday night or in laddish company for the stem hints at wine and all things continental and is a step further away from the dimpled handle mug that is the glassware our fore fathers would have expected us to use. One thing is for sure we should all avoid the Shaker straight sleeved glass that is the trendy pint glass of the last ten years. This American imposter has wooed with it's All Bar One lifestyle image and pretends to be full of plain speaking simplicity when we all know it's appealing to the ?uppie in us all. A man needs to feel a curve in his glass, it hints at the female form and the hidden pleasures within. This is why I shall be cupping my tulip tonight and expect the traditional bulb in my pint glass on Wednesday.
