10 greatest songs ever.............

WNDC: greatest songs ever.............

Well we did it a year or more on emails and we decided last night it would be good to try it again on the blog. So here goes, in no particular order.

Frank Sinatra - 'One for My Baby'. Classic bar-room tale of the hardships of love

The Beatles - 'in My Life'. The Dylan influence comes through in a landmark Lennon number

Led Zeppelin - 'The Rover' Classic, intelligent rock

Bob Dylan - 'Tangled up in Blue' Bye bye to the 60s from one of the people who made them.

Ryan Adams - 'Magnolia Mountain' Awesome country-rock

Ben Folds Five - 'Smoke' The literate break-up song

The Smiths - 'This Charming Man' Needs no explanation

The Clash - 'Armagideon Time' Magnificent meeting of reggae and punk

Gram Parsons - '1,000 dollar wedding' Amidst the excess of drugs and drink played a big role in creating country-rock.

James Taylor - 'Fire and Rain' Again, needs no explanation

bonus: Muse - 'My plug-in baby' How do three guys make this much noise?

Broadside

Just a quick note re Broadside

Small Headache

It is definately true that four and out the door at something to twelve is one too many and a little too late for my six thirty alarm. Still last night the five listed opposite managed to put the world right for a brief few hours till someone messed it up again ready for when the bloody alarm went off.

As I recall there was a suggestion that Ms J of the brazilian brazilian cleaning "lady" case had had her identity masked to the extent of changing her sex and that she was none other than our own Mr D. That's a video I'd pay not to see. Also £20,000 seems quite cheap and possibly even reasonable as blackmail goes now that it's all out.

It strikes me that as a Drinking club our links opposite show far too much sobriety. Any ideas?

Oh yes .. the kitty ... £7.50 ish wearing a hole in my pocket as I type ...cheers lads

I'll be the Judge of that - a regular slot on the mucky legal world, this week all things brazilian.
